I'm completely obsessed with Sesame Street.

Always was.  Unfortunately an obsession that was cute when I was 7 is just plain creepy now that I'm 26.  Well screw you haters.  I love Sesame Street
and I'm not ashamed to admit it.  There are 8 million idiots out there who watch 7th Heaven Now that's something to be ashamed of.

I loved everything about Sesame Street.  The Muppets, the music, the things they taught me, the people ... well to be honest the actual people on Sesame Street kinda freaked me out.  There's no way that real people can be that happy all the time.  I mean seriously ... you just know there was some serious pot smoking going on in the back of Hooper's Store.  And finally
Oscar.  My god.  Seriously ... he's my god.

I grew up wanting Oscar the Grouch to be my friend.  I loved that guy.  He was so fricking awesome.  I think that's where I get my sarcasm from.  That's right, everything about my personality is derived from television
As god intended.

And when it comes to television Sesame Street had the biggest impact on me.  Where I grew up, Sesame Street was on every afternoon at 4 o'clock.  I'd get out of school at 3pm and rush home so that anything I had to do, chores, homework, whatever ... That would all be done so that I could be sitting in front of the television at 4pm.

All right I can't lie to you.  I didn't do homework.  I've never done homework.  I'm so against homework that when I was twelve I got detention for not doing my homework and in detention I was supposed to write an essay on the importance of doing homework and the first line pretty much went like this ...

"I do not know the importance of doing homework since I have never done any and I have no intention of doing any.  Ever!" ... (well that's been amended to 'as long as it's not mine
')

And that pretty much sums up my entire life.  I am Anti!  Anti what?  Anti-whatever you've got, baby.  But to simplify "Antiestablishment."  DOWN WITH THE MAN!

Which is probably why Oscar was my favorite Sesame Street character.  He hated everything society deemed as good and I loved him for it.  No conforming, no compromising, just sarcasm and a healthy dose of hating cheerful people
Wow ... who knew a 7yr old could get so much from Sesame Street?
